Inspiration: MM Design’s Top Paint Colours for 2024

We are super excited over here at MM Designs for this year's trending paint colours. Say goodbye to the all white spaces and grey everywhere and welcome more warm, rich & natural interiors. From dark mauves and blues to lighter taupes and a lot more medium-tone colours like Farrow & Ball’s Theron No. 292. Let us know in the comments below if you agree with some of our top picks and what other colours you are looking forward to seeing more of this year.

1. This dark moody space by Christian Lemieux is giving me all sorts of inspiration. For any of you who’ve had a Zoom call with me, you’ll know my office is painted in the darkest green (Sherwin William’s Ripe Olive SW 6209). Dark cozy spaces have always been something I gravitate towards, making me feel so comfortable and relaxed.

2. Benjamin Moore - Deep Caviar 2130-20

3. Jake Arnold is my favourite Designer at the moment and I feel like has been one of the Designers spurring this year's colour trends. This space is a prime example of one of this year's biggest colour trends; taupe. Not to be confused with the taupe of the early 2000s, the ‘new taupe’ is still a warm light beige but with more of a grey/ yellow undertone than a pink/ yellow undertone.

4. Another favourite designer is Ashley Montgomery who excels at warm natural spaces like this beautiful staircase, but is just as good (if not better) at mixing colours and patterns to create the most unique and charming interiors. Check out her Instagram account, ashleymontgomerydesign to see how she is setting all sorts of colour trends.

5.  Not only was this colour big in 2023 but I think it will continue to be a classic for 2024. Including the trends of larger baseboards, off-white trim, and millwork that is painted the same colour as the walls.

6. Farrow and Ball - Theron No.292

7. Sherwin Williams - Taupe of the Morning SW 9590

8. Benjamin Moore - Gravel Gray 2127-30

9. I added this image from Rejuvenation because of the rich blue colour, but it also showcases the trend of mixing millwork finishes including two different coloured cabinets (taupe and blue), as well as wood. Gone are the days of an all white kitchen.
